No. To encourage clients to focus on treatment and recovery, our policy is to disengage from technology, such as:

  • Smartphones
  • Computers
  • iPads
  • iPods.

We’ve found that technology can be used to isolate and remain disengaged from the treatment experience. In fact, some of our clients have a compulsive or detrimental relationship with technology.

Yes. Upon arrival, each client is encouraged to contact their key emergency contact to let them know they arrived safely at Summit Prairie Recovery Center. After that, clients do not have access to the telephone for the first five days of treatment so that they can focus on immersing themselves in treatment and making connections with peers and staff. Following the first five days, clients can begin to receive phone calls. All calls will be incoming calls between the hours of 7:00 pm CT and 8:30 pm CT Monday through Friday and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 pm CT to 8:00 pm CT.
In visitation, hours are the same as the calling hours. All visits must be preapproved by the client’s case manager ahead of time. We also offer and encourage telehealth visits. Invitation to the family therapy or couples/partners experiences requires the client to sign a release of information indicating their desire to invite specific family members. Attendance at these programs requires HIPAA Privacy Rule accommodation. Please do not make arrangements to attend a family intensive program, the family education program, or couples program unless you have received an invitation letter from our Director of Family Therapy Services.
Treatment cost varies depending on the program, level of care, length of stay, and insurance coverage. We accept most PPO insurance plans. The best way to get an accurate estimate of any out-of-pocket expenses is to call our admissions team for a free treatment cost estimate.
Yes. We are in-network with many major insurance carriers and accept most PPO insurance carriers. Please call our admissions team for a free insurance benefits check. Please note that though your policy may indicate a maximum number of days of coverage available, approval of the use of those days is contingent on the insurance provider’s review of your medical need for care. Your admissions team member will explain this in detail.
